Our first Spring on the homestead is just about underway. The daylight has stretched beyond 7pm, there are new birds fluttering about the trees and the yard has gone from white to brown and soggy.  The snow is melting off of the garden with the warm, spring sun and my seeds are indoors, awaiting germination.  As soon as I am able to harvest this years first crops, my canning adventures will begin.
